I can think of scenarios where both heroes and villains could use this technique to make for an interesting story line.
Basically the technology allows you to take a digital photo of a key up to 200 feet away, and make your own copy with special software.
I haven’t seen it work in person, but the concept has already been incorporated into an episode of CBS’s Numb3rs.
