I haven't had an opportunity to explore Olympic National Park yet, and finally checked it out last week as a place of respite to write. If you want to stay on the Pacific Ocean in a more rustic setting with no phones, TV or internet there is the Kalaloch Lodge which has cabins as well as rooms in the lodge (get a cabin with a view). We had dinner one night at Quinault Lodge, which was just charming and I noticed it has internet access for those who can't give it up.

Here are a few photos from a hike in the Hoh Rainforest. I've never written paranormal, but was getting ideas of a Dark Lord lurking here. Handel's Sarabande (5th song) kept popping into my head. Well, actually it was a modern arrangement (2nd song) which is darker with a full chorus vs. the traditional instrumentation. Hmm...a perfect setting for bad things to happen to a few characters, don't you think?
