Not that I’d ever want anyone to be stranded at an airport, and of course I'd love to see more common sense applied to government services..but this was a surprise to read:
The Associated Press reported that Charleston Mayor Danny Jones was at a California airport security gate, and found that he had misplaced his current driver’s license; TSA wouldn’t accept the expired license that he happened to have in his wallet.
However, he WAS allowed through security after he found a magazine in his carry-on, because apparently a magazine with his photo satisfies the requirement of government-issued identification.
